Was using Cool Reader which worked very well. This app proved to have all the features I was looking for. Particularly happy that TOC works. The feature to page through the book AND ability to scroll just with gesture is very cool! I will update this review in a few weeks to reports if I am still thrilled with app. 20200312: Yes I am still using almost a year later and still very happy with!

I have been searching for a good epub reader for a couple of years. How did this escape my attention? It is absolutely brilliant. Love the TTS. Perfect for my poor sighted mother. When opening a book, limits the file structure to only showing what you need to see. Just the right amount of features and tweaks. Thank you.

Finally, an app where I can actually choose font and background color. I use yellow text on black bg, it's easier for my eyes and absolutely amazing once you get accustomed to it, specially on amoled displays. Cons: switching between windowed and full screen is a bit wonky.

I like that you can override the system brightness and I would love to see a similar feature for auto rotation. The ability to lock the screen rotation while in app would be very convenient.

App seems to be unable to find/use QuicDic. I've this dictionary app installed and selected ad the default under AIReader yet I'm told by Al that the dictionary is not installed. ~~~ Good reader. A lot of options to customize your reading experience. TTS works great. TTS is found under Menu/Actions/Text-to-speech.

Can open files from /storage/emulated/0 and /storage/internal-sd (via volume xxxx-xxxx number). Can't open a usb/otg 256GB SD card. Android 14.

Great app. Would have given it 5 stars if it would open pdf books. Hope to see the next version include pdf files.

Not as simple as I would like to set up and find books, BUT once sorted, reading is wonderfully clear and distraction free. And it opens ANY files! Been using it for a decade.
