Ulasan untuk Castlevania: SotN
Seriously they knocked it out of the park for this port. I actually really dig the UI changes and the way the touch controls look. I think this is a good way to possibly introduce this game to younger generations and I think that's awesome. The only thing I could've wished for is just a little more customization. And more Castlevania games ported:)
One of the best games of all time! Controls are a little tricky in certain parts, unfortunately. There's a part where you turn into Mist to proceed that took 2 seconds to do in original, which took me about a half hour and dozens attempts to get the jump and timing just right on this. Otherwise, it's a surprisingly good translation and I highly recommend it for this great price!
I found new glitches, so it's not perfect. Voices and some sounds are different than the PS1. The game supports Xinput/Xbox gamepads, but there is no way to customize the controls and there is no in-game info on layout or special functions like hi-jump or mist form. I had to learn via Reddit. L is wolf, R is bat, L+R is mist. That's quite a crucial omission, as it's vital to the completion of the game. (Everything else is mapped like PS1.). Not my preferred way to play, but it's totally decent.
Great for light playing while waiting with little to work with. It takes a while to get used to the controls, but you'll be okay. Just FYI, the high jump will sometimes not work when entering a different area. To fix this, transform to anything and then return to dhampir form.
This is my all-time favorite game, and it's worth some points for nostalgia. However, the control scheme is just terrible. The gameplay is reliant on being able to press more than one button at a time, and the onscreen buttons just don't allow for that. Also several controls are missing as others have noted, like wolf swim and double jump/run for Richter. You're better off with an emulator and mapping the keys to a Bluetooth controller.
This is a phenomenal classic, it has good controller support, and runs well. The only problem is if you have a high refresh rate display, the app doesn't always account for it. I had to turn off higher refresh rates on my Pixel 6 Pro, because it ran too fast otherwise.
I love this game, bring back childhood memories. It's also cool that you can choose the character. My only issue with the game, which is a big one are the controls... they could have easily added some way to adjust the placement or even added the option for a virtual analog stick. I'm constantly messing up with simple tasks in this game due to the lack of control.
Bluetooth controller absolutely necessary, could not get the touch screen to acknowledge jump and attack at the same time that is kinda required to kill several things. Also, my phone must be too good at processing the game, feels like the frame rate is at least x2 faster than original hardware. This requires the input for spells to be entered faster then my thumbs can move. Ability to set a frame rate cap could fix this.
I am loving everything, only issue is the controls. Why can't I customize them!? It's ESSENTIAL. Like, changing the placement and size of buttons, adding extra buttons, etc. I think blocking could be smoother, and there are some things you just *can't* do - like the wolf is supposed to be able to swim. Pretty crucial to swim as the wolf to unlock some parts of the map but there is no triangle button to make the wolf swim. I want to give 5/5 stars but won't til controls can be customized/improved
New voice acting is awful. Controls are abysmal. Extremely noticable input lag and constantly fails to register inputs. I will say that menus are nice and having a dedicated button for spells and abilities is a neat idea. It's also nice to be able to skip cutscenes. Unfortunately, it's not enough to save it from the glaring issues. Emulation strongly recommended.
