Can't even stay open! I've had a Celtx account online for over 2 years, both free and subscription-based. Celtx app won't even let me sign in. The second time I tried the app crashed before I could even finish typing in my user info. I've closed it, reopened, etc and it crashes everytime. I'm uninstalling it. What a bummer.

Honestly really frustrating to use this app. So many issues that make writing nearly impossible. A lot of the time you can't clock the very end of a sentence so you have to close the document and go back in then scroll all the way to the bottom again. Sometimes the words just get jumbled and you can't erase things, you once again have to exit and go back in and scroll all the way to the bottom. Sometimes the character or scene heading popup doesn't appear.. It all gets really annoying.

Writing in Celtx is impossible right now. After a few words, it starts to lock up, and my phone's autocorrect starts completing words as I write them, so I end up with something like "ArAre e" instead of "Are," which I wouldn't mind if not for the EXTREME lag that follows. Eventually, this gets to the point where I have to forcibly quit and restart the app. After doing this three or four times, getting maybe four or five words typed each time, I've stopped trying. Please fix this soon.

Having a way to write offline that syncs when finally connected to internet is great, but that is one of the few advantages of this app (besides the formatting of course). I have a external keyboard with an arrow pad that I use only when writing. This has been the only app to behave oddly with it. I can't keep going down the lines of script, I have to hit > to go to the next line after every paragraph.

Celtx, as a program, is great. It's the best alternative to paid programs like Final Draft. However, the mobile app is comparative to a Bethesda Game Studios title. It crashes often, entire paragraphs of work can sometimes vanish and the cursor seems to do whatever it damn well pleases. I had to uninstall and then reinstall the app just to accomplish something as innocuous as deleting an old project. This app needs some major refurbishments.

TERRIBLE WORKFLOW compared to Windows. I've been using Celtx on windows for YEARS, weekly. The UI and workflow is pretty intuitive. This App is Absolutely terrible. It's not intuitive AT ALL!! I've been stuck on trying to get off the first line while keeping my scene heading. It's either absolutely TERRIBLE, or there's a bug. I can't just type in my scene heading, hit enter and move on and retain the header format. The "Done" button quits the editing mode entirely???? Whhhyy??!!

Either fix the cloud saving/app crashing or get this app off the store. I've made a complaint about this a long time ago and it still hasn't been fixed. It's really a big problem whenever I'm trying to write my script and it just crashes in the middle of nowhere. The saves also does not work properly. I'd work on a script at home, try to polish some scenes on my way to work and it goes off an OLD SAVE. Fix this. Seriously.

I absolutely love this app! It's easy to use, the layout is just about perfect, my only complaints are that the buttons in the menu when on a mobile, they will kick you out and say the app had stopped working. Another thing, not too bad, but I can be rereading my screenplay to make sure everything is okay, but if I happen to go to the very last thing I wrote, and it is a sentence, it will put my marker right before the period. It's kind of annoying, but not all bad. I reccomend it still!

The app crashes often and doesnt save any of the work. This is a common problem that many users experience. Celtx has a lot of great features that you dont see in other screenwriting programs, but most of them are blocked off by a monthly pay wall. This used to be free before version 2.9.1, but now they're adding pricetags to every little feature. 👌 try another program and save yourself the trouble.

It use to be amazing. The app was smooth and I could just fiddle on it when ever inspiration came. Now it is completely unusable. I was having these issues for months and was blaming it on my 2 year old phone. Just got a new phone with all the works and it is just as janky as it has been. I really hope they fix it. I have been using Celtx for almost 20 years now, it is sad to have to consider another platform. I will be happy to change my review to a 5 star rating once the app is working again.
