This is the best free app of its' type that I have found. It is wonderful that you can download entire regions, and are not required to have full-time internet access (impossible where I travel). Certainly it is not perfect. Dirt roads are not differentiated from other secondary roads, and some of the on/off ramps are not always reliable, but it typically routes onto decent roads. I use it more as a general-purpose map for exploring regions anyway. Data can be directed to SD card.

Is a great overall app. I love being able to contribute places to it so I can feel like I'm part of the improvement of it, however small. My only gripe so far is that, for navigation, your destination MUST be a searchable place - it will not accept just a bare address (such as for a place that isn't yet in there, a residence, etc). With this kind of limitation, it can never be a true replacement for Google maps. Maybe they never meant it to be.

app worked well during our trip in Thailand. I mostly used it for when we were exploring a small area like walking around. it gives better local detail than Google maps. I still prefer Google maps for long trips. I wouldn't mind paying a small fee to get rid of ads. I am uninstalling for that reason as I don't need it when I am home and don't like apps with ads.

I really loved this app for navigating overseas via downloading the area map while on wifi and exploring the region just using the GPS function to get routes to destinations. But as of late, the app seems to avoid bridges by directing me to take exit then get back on the freeway again and has tricked me a few times into taking the exit which cost time and fuel to get back up to speed. I am currently looking for a replacement to this app, seems I have paid a few dollars to skip adds which is no big deal. I will probably keep the app just for the waypoints I have saved. I love the fact that I can save Costco fuel locations as a yellow pin for fuel and hotels as blue, parks as green, etc. The other bug is the voice prompt tells me to take a left turn when the map shows I need to take a right turn.

Downloading maps is ok, I find this better than having a cloud based or a massive database download. What I find horrible is that when I add navpoints I lose my original direction. Maybe this is due to my own phone LG G8? The tracking is also slow and directions are too slow specially when driving at high speeds on highways. I missed my exit a few times because voice notification failed to tell me anticipating for my current speed. I need it to tell me at least 1/8 mile to properly change lanes

I want to love this app, but can't. Searching has too many problems: locations don't return results, and switching between map/list view makes some entries disappear. I love the spirit of this app, but without reliable search, I cant use it. UPDATE: I worked with support for 3 separate bugs. They were pleasant and prompt, but 2 of the issues remain, and they are deal-breakers for me. I genuinely look forward to using this app in a year or two when its more reliable.
