Ulasan untuk Mobiwol: NoRoot Firewall
Tried a bunch of other firewalls, this was the only one that worked correctly and consistently. Works on new and old devices. I was even able to use it to restrict data usage on my kids cheap smart watch. Also I love that it has a whitelist feature, so you can restrict data for all apps except the few you want to be able to access data, like find my phone.
Outstanding... when it works. My install crashes dozens of times per day. Once the "wol" is down, all the background apps and usage kick back on again. The app restarts, but doesn't notify you that it did. So you have to guess whether or not you're protected.
I use it for ad blocking, it's extremely easy to use, but it constantly crashes. By constantly I mean once or twice a day, enough to get seriously annoyed. It has a handy icon on top when on but you have to remember to check for it before you open an app. If you forget, you find out when you get bombarded by ads. And it's not easy to turn it back on either. There's no shortcut appearing after installation, I have to use my phone's search function to open it again. Overall 5 stars without issues, 3 stars as they are there
I only use it to block ads in one mobile game and well, it works. Lost 2 stars because it is CONSTANTLY freezing and crashing, and the exception rules don't work. It blocks both mobile data and wifi whether I want it or not, and cuts the connection for ALL apps whether I've ticked them on or off. The freezing and crashing has been going on way too long, really needs to be fixed. It freezes nearly every time I use it, maybe 9/10 times. And crashes at least once a week.
Effective at blocking. Best interface for regular person without having to fiddle with mumbo jumbo. The only problem is that after it runs, the program seldomly crash when i open it either to check logs or rules. As a bonus for that, permission gets restarted. Tested on 2 of my phones across multiple ROM and API.
It can't tell the difference between mobile data and wifi. I tested this with Mobile data turned on and Wifi turned off (on my phone). I then ran Mobiwol and set an app to WiFi connection only, with data and background data disallowed. I ran the app and it still connected to the Internet via Mobile Data. Additionally, it appeared in the Connection Log as "WiFi" yet my phone Wifi wasn't even turned on. This bug basically makes the app unusable at this point. Running on Android 9.
initially found this app very helpful, but have noticed that it has not been updated since beginning 2018, more than a year ago. secondly, have noticed that it has been seriously slowing down the access to web, even many times preventing me connecting to wifi network. changed to different noroot firewall, and far fewer dropped connections. so have uninstalled app
This firewall is not effective. It often crashes, so then I have to restart it manually. Sometimes I won't notice for a few hours or days that it's not running, so during that time I'm connected directly to the internet without a firewall. I switched to NoRoot Firewall and it works flawlessly.
Any no-root firewall is going to work as a VPN. To do that, it does NOT require my email address, phone number, location, etc. Therefore, as soon as I read the Terms, I hit REFUSE and uninstalled it right away. The whole purpose is to PROTECT my personal data, NOT to give it away to the developer AND a list of unspecified third parties.
What's the point of a firewall if the firewall provider collects, transmits, and shares all information going through it? Both the Privacy Policy and EULA state it outright. Specific apps get blocked from accessing the internet directly, but they do so through this app. Now 100% of your personal and non personal data is given to this app and still makes it to it's final destination. Basically, what this app appears to do is nothing except trick you into allowing it to collect ALL of your data.
