Don't let the low review score fool you. I've been using this app for many years, and even though it's had no updates for nearly a decade, it still just works even on android 12. You need to enable bass and volume boost seperately in the menu, but I generally use the eq functions along with a preset for quieter audio so I don't bother roommates late at night. Still the best EQ on the market, easily. None of the permissions are needed. If it gets killed, allow it unrestricted battery.

In modern cars, no matter the touch screen size, the ability to adjust the music tone goes through at least 3 UI navigations. It has become impossible to adjust the tone while driving. I had to find an Android phone EQ app, which i could hold active with Caffeine and adjust the tone with one touch. I tried a lot of apps and they all failed in the car driving conditions. This app is the one i use in the car. It has BIG buttons for EQ preset switching and it has only one UI mode. No screens, no combo-box dropdowns. Just one touch and done. If i were the developer of this app i would have made the Volume boost and Surround settings as part of the Equalizer preset specification and that would be saved. The more bass is in EQ the lower the volume of the phone. I have to correct this quickly with the volume in the car. I wish i could have the volume correction as part of the custom preset i am saving. The preset holds only EQ settings. Yes, i have purchased it in order to remove the ads, which would be detrimental in the car.

Says that the version I downloaded from play store was intended for a different version of Android then prompts to check for update .. not certain as to why the install was allowed to occur since that notifier. But it does play. Does not amplify or enhance as it should though but it does work.
