Family Locator - GPS Tracker

I downloaded this as I wasn't happy with Life360. I kept Life360 on my phone to see which app was more efficient. This one uses 2x as much battery & 3x as much data as Life360. I had it set to run in the background, it does not, it only runs in the foreground. The accuracy is pretty much hit and miss. The layout of daily history is backwards & at times makes no sense (somehow my partner managed to drive for 1hr 92min at 4am while sleeping??). Not impressed

This app is very easy to use and gives great locations and directions. The only thing is if your not in a good cell service area it wont update as quick but once you get service again it updates. It's great! In these crazy days you never know what will happen. My family and I love being able to know where each other are. A little less stress in today's world.

I wanted an app to see my family's location in real time. Life360 used to do this but no longer works so I wanted to try Family Locator. It isn't any better. It never updates (it still says I'm in a location where I was 5 days ago), and even when we are connected to WiFi and 3 or more signal bars, it claims we have no network connection. And the date is usually a month or so off. We have made sure that our app settings give this permission to run in the background, but that didn't help either.

Surprisingly accurate app. I live out in the middle of no where... But it still got my address right. Very happy with the accuracy and the ease of using the app. This is the first one out of the 18 family locator apps I've tried that has been easy to use and had accurate locations for everyone. :)

Great app! I love how I can see where my teens are located. Even if we don't get phone service, I can zoom in and see their location. On the fun side, my dog has learned the notification tone on my phone means to go to the garage door because someone might be home. The kids can also see my location in order to get their chores done at the last minute. I love the feature that lets me know how fast they were traveling. There is one friend they won't be driving around with anymore.

The app works ok for the most part... My only complaints are if the other people in your group do not log in to the app it does not find them, this is very frustrating for a worried mother/wife. Next complaint the speedometer is in kmh we go by mph in the USA I wish I could have the option to change that and last complaint when you click the button to see where the person is at via satellite is goes to your location (I know what my surroundings look like)

When it did work, it was very slow to update. The other 99% of the time it only worked if the family member "checked in" manually. There was no real-time tracking like you see in their video. If you're looking for this type of app, save this one for last and try others first.___There's likely going to be a developer response below saying "contact us to help you get your settings right". The app and GPS was set to allow maximum battery use. GPS is set with "improved accuracy" and the app was set to "not optimized" in the battery-saving list. If it requires a more obscure setting than that, then it's the app's fault.____Please don't ask me to contact you; I've already uninstalled and moved on.

Great App. I'm the the one who likes to keep eye on everyone while they are some where else. We are a familiar with many devices both Android and Apple and I've tested this in both kinds of software. So far it's been one of the easiest ones to set up and use. I didn't notice any pop up ads, extra battery drain, or any performance issues after installing. Very accurate location reporting. I've been impressed. Really It's great

We have "The Favorite Circle" which includes quite few extended family members and a different circle for just my husband and I. being able to create personal circles is awesome.The option to turn off your location for a specific group is good to have sometimes. The maps are always clear and usually pretty accurate. I use it to see where I am when I cut through country roads. I am able to see and get to know all the roads around me. Its quite easy and convenient. I love it.

It's great for my family to keep track of where we all are when it comes to dropping off and picking up. Also it has been useful to find where my daughter lost her phone...twice! I love how it keeps track of my teens travel routes and driving details. This app is amazing and I just have the basic opinion, I can't even imagine how beneficial it would be adding the other options! Loved it.
